The Association of St. Louis Area Archivists (ASLAA), formed in 1972, is a professional association of archivists and manuscript curators from institutions throughout the bi-state metropolitan area. Membership is open to all interested individuals. ASLAA holds two meetings per year at repositories around the St. Louis area. Since 1985, ASLAA has published the Directory of Archives and Manuscript Repositories in the St. Louis Area.

Next ASLAA Meeting:

Date: Tuesday November 6, 2018
Time: 1:00 - 3:00 pp
Location: the newly reopened (and renamed) Museum at the Gateway Arch

Refreshments / Socializing  starting at 12:45, with business meeting 1:00 pm, followed by our program starting about 2:00 pm

Park Historian Bob Moore will speak about the challenges involved in designing the new museum and the intentions behind the revamped displays. After his talk, we'll split into smaller groups and park staff will lead a tour around the museum and include time to explore on your own.

We'll be meeting in the Education Classroom at the Gateway Arch, all visitors will need to pass through security so please allow time for that. After passing through security, proceed down the escalator or stairs to the Education Classroom directly below the mezzanine with the map on it.

The new entrance to the Arch is directly across from the Old Courthouse where Luther E. Smith Square has been extended over the highway (note the Arch legs are now exit only.)   Gateway Arch National Park does not have any dedicated parking facility, but parking is available at meters and at several garages downtown.  Kiener East and Stadium East are the closest garages. If you choose to take public transportation, the Metro stop at 8th and Pine will let you off closest to the new entrance.
